As Anglican missionaries, Carlos and I have been working to support the two centers dedicated to offering basic services and therapies for children  and adults with special needs who otherwise do not receive therapy because they cannot afford it. The therapies we are trying to offer are speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, and life skills. The centers also offer education, food, clothing, and, in some cases, housing. For the past three years Carlos, Andrea, and I have been sending money to pay the therapists' salaries at Mission Shalom in Lima and collected donations to support other activities such as the Soup Kitchen, Christmas gifts, winter clothing, food baskets for families in need, and supplies for classes.

I have been both Confirmed and I am officially within the Lay Ministry of brothers and sisters in the Anglican church. I hope you and the Princeton Anglican Church are praying for me as I am for you all the way here in different Peruvian towns and churches (I've now visited 10 churches at this point. 8 in Peru and 1 in Mexico).  The most recent church I've visited in Arequipa needs pews, gardening help, a sound system, a new roof and help with the side classroom. Despite all this, it is still a beautiful site, and a breathtaking chapel. Deacon Danny Mamani and I are being serving here with pastoral house visiting (sending disciples 2 by 2).  It's hard work but incredibly satisfying working for the Lord! The church is currently looking for missionaries to help them out.  Many blessings and give the congregation my best!
